Last tour day for 2013

Today we began our tour with a visit to one of the outstanding centers for the elderly – Yad LaKashish.  The center, located near Jerusalem City Hall, provides stimulating and creative work opportunities in various artistic workshops for needy elderly and disabled.  Beautiful products are produced by these talented people.  And… we had the opportunity to do some shopping.  If you want more information  and want to shop – go to www.lifeline.co.il

A final visit for CAARI 2013 was Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem, at the magnificent newly dedicated 19 story Davidson Tower.  This new in-patient facility is committed to outstanding patient care for all of society using the most modern techniques.  We also went to the synagogue with the beautiiful Chagall Windows.
And…so that ends CAARI 2013!  We experienced so much over the past 7 weeks, -the smiles and laughter of the children that we tutored, the simple ‘toda’ from the patients in the hospitals, the unforgettable tours and sites we visited from the north to the south, the speakers who enlightened us and most of all the camaraderie of our fellow CAARI friends and…of course the fabulous Israel weather!
Lihitraot!  Safe Travels – see you next year!
