CAARI COOKS – February 11

One of our favorite activities this year, was working with Chef Michael at Dan Hotel Gourmet Cooking School.  We have been participating in a cooking class for the past years and always enjoyed.  Although, even for those  experienced cooks, it is a bit intimidating when  the recipes are handed out and we are told – ok – go cook!

First, we put on our CAARI Cook aprons and enter a fabulous kitchen with a work area for each CAARI COOK Team.  , made with a southern touch by Tobi’s Team!

After a ‘cook’s’ explanation by Chef Michael we split up in groups and started working on the various recipes which would be our dinner!  We made humus and tahina, grilled eggplant, falafel,  Lahmacum, pita baked with meat and spices, and for dessert Moroccan mehalabiya

We chopped, mixed, fried and baked and what came out was just delicious!  Go CAARI COOKS!
