Arrived in Jerusalem – walked to the Jewish Quarter and visit to Kotel

We are invigorated!  Being in Jerusalem with lovely sunny weather and after the long bus ride from Eilat to Jerusalem.  We are ready to walk and stretch our legs!   Down the hill  through the Mamila Mall – hard for some of us not to stop by a store.  We make our way, past the Tower of David Museum, the Jewish Quarter and the streets of the Cardo to the Kotel.

By Pearl:  “We meandered through the Old City and wound up at the wall. Emotional as always. Today, Saturday is free as always. Many of us went to services at the conservative congregation across the streets. There was a contingent of Jewish soldiers along with their Rabbi Major. Many museums are open on Saturday, Jerusalem is not as shuttered as it used to be. This afternoon we toured the Tower of David Museum of the History of Jerusalem within the walls of the Old City. All this is within walking distance of our hotel.
That’s it for now,

Pearl
