Oh – finally, the sun has appeared and once again spring like temperatures.  Perfect for the last day of CAARI – and what a fun and impressive day we had.  We began with an early morning visit to the special workshop of Yad LaKashish.  The workers were busy with their crafts in the various workshops.  We were so impressed with their work and the concept of the organization.  We wondered why this is not duplicated in other places.  Of course, we had time to shop and purchase special gifts. Lifeline for the Aged founded in 1962 employs people over 65 and provides two meals a day.  They provide work in various skills and crafts such as metal working, bookbinding, card making, pottery, woodworking etc. and their work is sold in the gift shop so it brings in an income.

On to the Supreme Court for a great tour. Our final stop was Mechane Yehuda for a taste of different foods many had never tasted and many foods we had all tatsed!  It was a wonderful day and great way to conclude CAARI 2016.

We bid Li’hitriot to our friends, wishing them safe travels home.  Thank you for visiting Israel and coming to CAARI. Enjoy the memories –
