Thursday was a fantastic day – long, but worth every minute. We began the morning at the Jewish National Fund Headquarters – known as KKL! Andy Michelson, Head of the Department of Ceremonies, spoke to us about the Honor Books that go back over 100 years. Then he went on to explain the work of JNF. We have visited many JNF site over these past few weeks and now were able to relate what he was explaining. All of us were not only impressed with the work of JNF – not just trees- but their contribution to the State of Israel – from parks to water reservoirs and so much more! Susan and Neil presented a Garden of Trees to Joan and Bernie Hulkower who have done so much for the CAARI program over the years! Mazel Tov Joan and Bernie!
