Visit to 9/11 Memorial

This morning (Sunday morning) we left our ‘home’ for the past 4 weeks, the City Hotel, for our journey south to the Dead Sea.  The Memorial, a magnificent and remarkable JNF (USA) project that was dedicated in 2010.  Mel Wasserman, a survivor of 9/11 spoke to the group about his experience and about the that lost their lives focusing on the Israelis that died.  Others spoke about the their experiences and we all said Kaddish.  Our bus had some difficulty negotiating the road and the “dips” so we got off the bus and walked past the beautiful spring flowers that are now in bloom!

The Canadian American Active Retirees in Israel, CAARI, offers active seniors a unique opportunity to experience Israel. The CAARI Program includes community service, toursa speakers forum and the camaraderie of the CAARI Family.
