Purim in Jerusalem began Sunday evening and continues through Monday.  While the rest of the world celebrates Purim on Saturday night – Jerusalem and other ‘walled’ Israeli cities celebrates this festive holiday the following day.  After CAARI’s tour Sunday, they returned to the hotel  – some of put on costumes and attended services at the Great Synagogue.  The Melgilah was read and dancing followed the service in the social hall – what a  spirit! Many people, young and old, in costumes and some of us enjoyed the carnival atmosphere at Mamila Mall and Ben Yehuda Street.
